Task 3 (B) Digital Audio Production
This another written report for my final pre production element for digital Audio production , this will purely be focusing on recording techniques and procedures.
Solid state , Digital recordings in current use etc.
Adobe Audition - Adobe Audition is a digital audio workstation from Adobe systems featuring both a multi track , non - destructive mix /edit environment and a destructive - approach waveform editing view. This particular software is used for editing audio , its also for creating audio and mixing and creating your own for maybe youtube channel purposes etc . Adobe practically own all the software's such as , primere pro , Photoshop etc. Adobe Audition however isn't free but like other software do they will offer free trials for a time period.
Audacity - This the type of software where it s easy to use , you can also use this software to record your own audio , you can be as creative as you like. This software can be used on many operating systems such as mac OS , and Linux etc . You can also record live audio. you can cut slice dice crop any piece of audio you like in this software program.
Bias peak - Also known as peak in some terms is also another audio software where its main purpose is digital audio , from knowledge its only operating system is Macintosh i believe , so this piece of software isn't as adaptable to other audio software's such as Adobe audition. This software is mainly used by professional youtubers.
Pro Tools - Pro tools is a audio editing software with mainly all the tools need to construct any piece of audio you see fit to create or put together , from what I know pro tools operates on Microsoft windows and possibly Mac OS , which allow the software to produce a range of sounds .
Cubase - Cubase is a music audio software , where you record music into the software, its a digital audio workstation , represented by cutting edges of audio for example if you recorded vocally them you would be able to edit and cut out the bits you do not like . With cubase you have the chance to create the best possible recording , editing composition . Like with most software cubase also comes with a price but , they do offer free trials also.
Audio Desk - Audio desk is known as the american software for audio , this particular software was created for perfect construction .Audio desk is well known for mixing and editing.
By researching these different Software's it has made it clear to me what is the best possible choice when it comes to editing my own audio and what best software would be perfect for me to use , a lot of these software's come at a price but i may consider , signing up for a free trial and see if any of them are helpful for me , I think the best possible choices for me would have to be Cubase because some of my audios are music related and my second choice would have to be Audacity .
Hand Held and portable digital audio recorders
Zoom ; Zoom is a portable handheld digital recorder which offers a variety of handy solutions for locations recording. Audio recorders are very good because they are well known for their robust build, the quality of the microphone is very good .
Olympus : Olympus is another portable handheld digital recorder but as zoom is only a digital recording company , Olympus also sell video cameras too , it can be used for broadcasting in good quality.
