  Analysing and researching my chosen TV drama which was power gave me a better understanding about all the techniques and shots used in media such as establishing shots and close ups etc. , it adapted my knowledge about all the different media skills and editing happening within a TV drama .
  By planning the storyboard it gave me an overview of what locations to shot in and what shots I should use and to aim for task set from getting to point A to B, so by planning what our short film was going to be based on it gave me and insight on how we should film and edit everything, we wanted to cover every aspect that was given to us so by writing the storyboard it showed what we can incorporate in our actual shirt film. The storyboard was background verbally about what our short film was roughly going to be about, for us it was about getting what was written on paper visually produced.
  During the whole pre- production process I found very helpful because the more I learned the more experience I had with media overall it was very successful because I filmed my short film, so for example I learned how to use a camera hand held so its practise for future projects involving hand held movements also when we were practising shots such establishing shots, tracking and panning shots majority of them were hand held movements. Filming was quite successful because all the shots we film were to plan we met the brief and success criteria given to us. When we filmed a certain amount of footage with a tripod to sturdy the movement and to capture different locations shots to make our short film look more professional.
  Our strengthens were filming, editing, structuring and adding most of shots required because we worked as a team and finished when it came to creating a short film we were creative and imaginative we didn’t just think of something similar or predictable, we came up with a different story which thought was one of our strengthens because it showed creativity. Another strengthen would be directing and production because in my group I was the director so I made sure we wasn’t going off task and everything was filmed correctly.
  Our weaknesses was that there wasn’t enough different locations (mise en scene) used In our short film so we filmed from point  A to B but to the viewers it probably not as clear as you would think , another weakness would be that most of our footage was hand held so it shows a lack of professionalism , because we could of used a tripod for most of our shots so that’s a point we could take on for the future , also another we could work on is using a simple backing track not a song that incorporates swear words. Finally we could of added shots like shot reverse shot and we could of added complex movements to make it more interesting such as TV dramas like power and empire.
  The class thought our short film was quite creative with the use of story titles but with some improvements it would be even better such as if we used less had held shots and made it clear from point A to B. The improvements I would make is that I would change the story line a little bit more to make it more clearer to viewers about what we are trying to portray and also I would improve the music we added I would change it to something more authentic and bolder.
