Kanye West: Slavery Is A Choice?
He even said on live TV on tmz that “when you hear about
slavery for 400 years … 400 years? “That sounds like a choice” Kanye choice of
words triggers a lot of negative actions and behaviours. Kanye was the first
man to open up about mental health and his family and goes and makes comments
such as this which rattles the whole of America not just them the whole world
is stunned by the words that are coming out of his mouth and doesn’t consider
the affect it has on others.
Kanye also states that “you were there for 400 years, it’s
like you are mentally imprisoned” some people are very hurt by his actions and words , because
some people are still fighting to be free from slavery , if it was a choice
would they not have been free from it ? He acknowledges that, the slaves weren’t
shackled up and through on a boat by free will. He refers to the statement he
made as a free thought just an idea, but who knew that this idea he had would have
such a huge impact on the whole world, Kanye should of thought about his
choices of words before saying them, to his large following on all his social Medias.
The rest of society has to deal with the threats of their lives every day and
he just freely states that “slavery is a choice” without even thinking the
consequences of what people would say and think about, or react to what he had said.
Kanye words not only have a huge impact on people, it
changes his morals completely the trust in which people embark on him has
slowly faded, the 40 year old rapper has a lot riding on him at the moment his career,
his future, and family because his kids are only quite young so therefore I don’t
know how Kanye is going to justify their actions. Do you think what Kanye said
was right?
